In contemporary Saint Petersburg (formerly Leningrad), unique monuments of the Leningrad avant-garde have been preserved — representing a progressive architectural movement of the 1920s–1930s. These buildings were constructed in the rapidly developing Narvskaya Zastava district for workers of nearby industrial enterprises. A new building typology was emerging at the time, and the development was conceived not as isolated structures but as cohesive architectural ensembles. Prospekt Stachek served as the main spatial axis uniting them. This research identifies three groups of ensembles and analyzes their spatial and compositional relationships, both within each group and in relation to the surrounding urban fabric and open spaces. Through architectural, historical, and urban planning analysis, I propose strategies to reinforce the ensemble character of these areas and offers conceptual design solutions for the redevelopment of the interstitial spaces between the buildings.

Abstract
Through architectural, historical, and urban planning analysis, I propose strategies to reinforce the ensemble character of these areas and offers conceptual design solutions for the redevelopment of the interstitial spaces between the buildings.| File | Dimensione | Formato | |
