The purpose of this text is to show the results of a study aimed at developing a new type of cylindrical probe suitable for pressure measurements in the investigation of three-dimensional flows. The reason that led to this kind of study are to be found in the will of making the reading of the probe's pitch tap independent from that of yaw, as well as the miniaturization of the probe itself. Miniaturization is a very important part in the study of unsteady flows, because elements with large-scale size could cause excessive blocking phenomena. Currently there are probes that are able to capture the complete three-dimensional velocity vector, in order to get a realistic picture of the flow parameters, but they have pressure taps working in asynchronous mode, namely they acquire the pressure signal at different times. This can lead to an incorrect identification of phenomena that occur with unsteady flows. Analyses were performed both with the aid of CFD, and by experimental evidence.

Abstract
Analyses were performed both with the aid of CFD, and by experimental evidence.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
