This study presents a comprehensive comparative analysis of carbon footprint, and financial performance in the construction of multi-story buildings using two innovative techniques, automated fabrication and additive manufacturing alongside a conventional construction method used as the primary reference model. Utilizing Building Information Modelling (BIM) along with Revit Software integrated based on CAD files and structural calculations of the reference model, which is concrete structure building. The representative multi-story building is developed as a case study to simulate the complete production and construction processes for each structural phase. The conventional construction method serves as the master model, while the automated fabrication and additive manufacturing models are developed to replicate its design and construction parameters as closely as applicable based on the recent studies. The research evaluates material usage based on data extracted from Revit software, energy and resource consumption, process duration, environmental impact and human resource requirements which was conducted using a list of tasks provided by ITE. The study aims to provide an in-depth understanding of the effectiveness and practicality of these advanced construction approaches by comparing them with a structured approach naming Multi criteria Analyses which is combination of techniques used to evaluate and prioritize multiple, often conflicting, criteria in the decision-making process to support policy formulation and guide stakeholders in selecting suitable building techniques for development. Across the SAW and AHP weighting scenarios developed for this research, additive manufacturing obtained the highest composite score (0.82), followed by automated fabrication (0.65) and conventional construction (0.28). These results indicate that, for the present case study and under the adopted assumptions, system boundaries, and weighting structure, the 3D-printed structural system performed most favorably overall across time, labour, material efficiency, and whole-life embodied carbon.
