Set within the rapidly evolving context of Tirana, the project focuses on the city’s ring road and its roundabouts, interpreting them not merely as traffic infrastructure but as strategic urban nodes. Parking is reimagined as an active urban infrastructure: no longer a static space for vehicle storage, but a flexible framework capable of adapting to changing mobility patterns and urban needs. As cities transition toward more sustainable and diverse forms of mobility, parking structures become opportunities for regeneration, social interaction and future transformation. Along the ring road, a family of architectural objects is assigned to key infrastructural nodes, creating a repeatable system of interventions. Rather than isolated buildings, the structures form a network of urban catalysts, capable of adapting to different sites and future transformations. Three nodes are explored in detail as representative applications of this larger strategy. Three landmark buildings are proposed as catalysts for reconnecting fragmented areas, improving accessibility, and creating new public spaces within the metropolitan landscape. Designed as adaptable structures, the buildings respond to present mobility demands, while remaining open to future programs and uses. Through permeable ground floors, mixed functions and a strong relationship with the surrounding landscape, the project transforms infrastructural intersections into vibrant urban places, redefining the relationship between mobility, architecture and the contemporary city.

Abstract
Through permeable ground floors, mixed functions and a strong relationship with the surrounding landscape, the project transforms infrastructural intersections into vibrant urban places, redefining the relationship between mobility, architecture and the contemporary city.| File | Dimensione | Formato | |
