The aim of this thesis is to analyze the characteristics of Fabric Reinforced Cementitious Matrix (FRCM) systems, assess their advantages compared to Fiber Reinforced Polymer (FRP) composites, and investigate the future development prospects of their use in the field of structural strengthening. To this end, the study begins with an overview of masonry construction, followed by an examination of FRP (Fiber Reinforced Polymer) systems, focusing on their mechanical behavior, constituent materials, main advantages, and application limitations. Subsequently, the analysis shifts to the characterization of FRCM systems. For FRCM systems, the thesis describes their tensile and bond behavior, constituent materials, the interactions between their components, and several significant practical applications. Finally, the advantages, potential, and future development prospects of this technology are discussed.
