In lower limb prosthesis (transtibial and transfemoral) set up is done manually by orthopedic technicians, acting on the basis of their experience and guidance provided by the patient. The thesis introduces a new model whereby you can make in virtual, using a model of the human body, the set up of lower limb prosthesis. The model of the human body is simulated by LifeMod software and anthropometric data related to the patient, for characterization of the model, are acquired via motion capture (MOCAP). The possibility of having such an instrument, to be used within the normal prosthetic, should be a practical and immediate support to orthopedic technician job.

Abstract
In lower limb prosthesis (transtibial and transfemoral) set up is done manually by orthopedic technicians, acting on the basis of their experience and guidance provided by the patient. The thesis introduces a new model whereby you can make in virtual, using a model of the human body, the set up of lower limb prosthesis. The model of the human body is simulated by LifeMod software and anthropometric data related to the patient, for characterization of the model, are acquired via motion capture (MOCAP). The possibility of having such an instrument, to be used within the normal prosthetic, should be a practical and immediate support to orthopedic technician job.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
