Milano 2015. Il possibile scenario dell'Expo diffusa e sostenibile

IBA Emscher Park, Expo Suisse 2002, Turin 2006 Winter Olympic Games and 2008 Expo Zaragoza are some events that have made a lot of potential, opportunities for growth and development of the territory of the host city. Even the exhibition Expo Milan 2015, moves in the same direction. The Big Event is very important both for the city of Milan and for Lombardy Region as it brings with it the need for enrichment and the desire to extend the project on a regional scale, so as to have effects on the whole territory. We are starting from the Rho-Pero site, who will host the event between May 1 and October 31, 2015, an investigation would be desirable to extend throughout the Lombardy Region in order to make the best of enhancement projects and resources it offers. This would allow to investigate and evaluate all of the territory in order to donate it to those redevelopment projects that are a legacy. To explore a vast territory as that of Lombardy is necessary to offer to visitors a complete network infrastructure and suitable to meet the needs of users. This must be an adequate infrastructure system of rail and road and even of mobility of cycling , such as pedestrian paths. The event of Expo Milan 2015 represents an important opportunity to complement and enhance existing infrastructure by putting them in the whole system, thus leaving a lasting legacy to the area reclassified even to the event ended.

IBA Emscher Park, Expo Suisse 2002, Torino e i Giochi Olimpici Invernali 2006 e Saragozza 2008 rappresentano alcuni eventi che hanno apportato molte potenzialità, occasioni di crescita e di valorizzazione del territorio alla città ospite. Anche Milano, con la manifestazione Expo 2015, si muove nella stessa direzione. Il Grande Evento è molto importante sia per la città milanese che per la Regione Lombardia in quanto porta con sé la necessità di arricchimento e la volontà di estendere il progetto su scala regionale, così da avere effetti su tutto il territorio. Partendo dal sto di Rho-Pero, che ospiterà la manifestazione tra il 1° maggio e il 31ottobre 2015, sarebbe auspicabile un’indagine estesa a tutto il territorio lombardo in modo da fruire al meglio dei progetti di valorizzazione e delle risorse che esso offre. Questa consentirebbe di indagare e valutare la totalità del territorio in modo da donare ad esso quelle riqualificazioni che ne rappresentino un lascito. Per esplorare un territorio molto vasto come quello della Lombardia è necessario offrire ai visitatori della manifestazione una rete infrastrutturale completa ed adatta a rispondere alle esigenze degli utenti. Deve quindi essere presente un adeguato sistema infrastrutturale su ferro-gomma ed anche un sistema di mobilità lenta, come i percorsi ciclopedonali. La manifestazione Expo Milano 2015 rappresenta dunque un’occasione importante per completare e potenziare le infrastrutture esistenti mettendole a sistema, così da lasciare al territorio riqualificato un’eredità duratura a manifestazione conclusa.
