In the present work the effects of different conditions of viscous damping on the dynamic response of Timoshenko's beams are investigated, considering the importance of these latter in the framework of the 'continuum method' for an approximate analysis of high rise buildings.
La tesi tratta un analisi approfondita sugli effetti di smorzamento viscoso su travi Timoshenko, contestualizzate nell'ambito di travi equivalenti per analisi approssimate globali di sistemi strutturali e, nella fattispecie, di alti edifici.
