The objective of the present work is to couple the CFD code ROSITA with the free general purpose multibody Computational Structural Dynamics (CSD) code MBDyn, in a fully modular way in order to compute the rotor trim in forward flight. Coupling between CFD/CSD codes may be accoplisced in two ways. The first one is the weak coupling, where the structural dynamics, the fluid dynamics and the strip theory are coupled in an iterative manner. The second one is the strong coupling, which is time accurate since the exchanges between the structural dynamics and the aerodynamic solver are done at each time step.

Abstract
The objective of the present work is to couple the CFD code ROSITA with the free general purpose multibody Computational Structural Dynamics (CSD) code MBDyn, in a fully modular way in order to compute the rotor trim in forward flight. Coupling between CFD/CSD codes may be accoplisced in two ways. The first one is the weak coupling, where the structural dynamics, the fluid dynamics and the strip theory are coupled in an iterative manner. The second one is the strong coupling, which is time accurate since the exchanges between the structural dynamics and the aerodynamic solver are done at each time step.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
