Un oggetto in meno. Analisi dell’imperfezione nel design, in particolare nel contesto di riutilizzo

It has been almost forty years since the concerns about the pollution of the planet because of the industrial production have been started, even before the period in which the industrial production reached it’s maximum level. This was followed by developing researches to obtain an effective solution for production of goods and products that would reduce the amount of ambiental pollution. Sustainability is probably the most important argument studied in different fields of production of objects. It contains also subjects like eco-design, green design e sustainable design. The aim of this study is to analyse an approach to design, which could be considered an alternative way to solve the problem of ambiental pollution by developing the objects that are considered as trash before that their life actually reaches to the end. Considering this objects as trash is a personal fact and it takes place in a person because of the ambient he’s living in. Furthermore, knowing these kind of objects as trashes comes from the trends of the society. The main part of these trends responds to the benefits of the great productive industry. The goal of this study is to explore the possibilities of putting these objects back to an effective use. The main aspect of obsolescent objects is imperfection. This projects starts with explaining the meaning of imperfection also in oriental culture. Based on this part of the research the main critics of imperfection are chosen to analyse the cases of study of design. The examples of imperfection in design are evaluated each by each, followed by a conclusion of results. There is chosen then the field of the project on which a possible scenario is illustrated.

Le preoccupazioni sull’inquinamento del pianeta a causa della produzione industriale sono iniziate da almeno quarant’anni prima di quando la produzione di massa arrivò a toccare il picco più alto. In seguito sono stati sviluppati vari studi per arrivare a una soluzione efficace per la progettazione dei beni e dei prodotti di consumo con lo scopo di diminuire il livello dell’inquinamento ambientale. La sostenibilità è probabilmente l’argomento più importante nato e studiato nei vari campi della progettazione dei prodotti, in cui sono stati studiati temi come l’eco-design, il green design e il design sostenibile. L’intenzione del presente elaborato è analizzare un approccio al design che possa considerarsi come un’alternativa per risolvere il problema dell’inquinamento attraverso valorizzare di oggetti che vengono considerati rifiuti prima che la loro vita arrivi effettivamente al suo termine. Tale considerazione è totalmente personale e prende forma nella persona rispetto all’ambiente che la circonda. Inoltre la percezione degli oggetti come rifiuti è spesso causata dalle tendenze della società, che in maggiori casi rincorre i benefici della grande industria produttiva. Lo scopo di questo studio è analizzare le possibilità di rimettere questi oggetti in uso effettivo. L’aspetto principale degli oggetti obsolescenti è l’imperfezione: essa viene analizzata a partire dalla definizione del termine in generale, dopodiché vengono analizzati i criteri più importanti dell’argomento in questione. Vengono poi presentati vari casi di studio nel campo del design, valutati secondo i criteri individuati, con l’obiettivo di scegliere il campo lavorativo su quale verrà proposto un possibile scenario per la progettazione.
