The aim of this study is preparation of materials/electrodes for electrochemical capacitors based on CNTs. The first step of our study was the growth of CNTs directly on aluminum with the aim of obtaining electrodes, for ECs application. The direct growth process was used in order to decrease the electric resistance between CNTs and metallic substrate increasing the electrochemical performance. In the next step, to fabrication of hybrid electrode, the thin films of manganese oxides with were deposited on the CNT by different techniques. Also the composite of CNT/MnOx electrode was fabricated by sol-gel process on nickel substrate for EC application. In the last part of my work, the fabrication of thick film of CNTs by Spray LBL is described with the aim of EV (Electric Vehicles) application.
Lo scopo di questo lavoro di tesi riguarda la sintesi di materiali basati su nanotubi di carbonio per la fabbricazioni di elettrodi per dispositivi capacitori elettrochimici. La prima parte del lavoro e' stata concentrata sulla sintesi di crescita di nanotubi di carbonio su substrati di alluminio. La seconda parte del lavoro ha riguardato la fabbricazione di elettrodi ibridi a base di nanotubi di carbonio e ossido di manganese. nell'ultima parte del lavoro sono stati fabbricati e caratterizzati elettrodi a film spesso di nanotubi di carbonio ottenuti mediante tecnica spray LBL per applicazioni nel campo automotive.
