Mass Customization aims on providing individually customized products or services to clients, in a large scale, to increase the company's profitability, and has taken a strategic role over the recent years. The current state of the market shows that customers are more and more interested in differentiated products, customized according to their desires. Moreover, the advancements of the technology enables companies to incorporate Mass Customized products in their portfolio. The objective of this research project is to develop a literature review on Mass Customization (MC), further explaining the concept on MC itself, its different levels, success factors and enablers. The research was initially based on a paper by Da Silveira et al. (2001), in which a literature review of MC was presented. However, over the last decade the scenario changed a lot, and so, starting from said paper, this project gathered information from around 85 publications and assembled each of their key aspects. In such way, this research project can serve as a backbone for those who are interested in the subject of Mass Customization, as well as a starting point for future researches on the field.
