Vibration suppression is an important area of mechanical systems control, and, during the last years, many control logics have been developed. When the mechanical system is non-linear and/or time-varying, a suitable choice is the use of adaptive control able to follow the changes of system dynamic behaviour. The aim of this work is to develop a real-time algorithm to identify and control a generic mechanical system. The identification algorithm combines the Subspace Tracking theory and ARMA/ARMAX models. On the other side two control logics are proposed: the first, non Model-Based, is an adaptive version of Direct Velocity Feedback (DVF), the second, Model-Based, is an adaptive version of Independent Model Space Control (IMSC). All the identification and control logics are numerically investigated considering a carbon-fiber plate model.

Abstract
All the identification and control logics are numerically investigated considering a carbon-fiber plate model.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
