The Green Supply Chain Management (GSCM) is gaining more visibility in the last years due to global warming, population growth and reduction of non-renewable resources. Great efforts have been done to help companies move towards more sustainable practices, but from one company to another the same practices can lead to opposite performance. Taking cue from Contingency Theory, the aim of this research is to look for contextual conditions which could affect green practices implementation and environmental performance within different companies. Moreover will investigate how companies in the same contextual conditions could behave to reach greater sustainability through an ad hoc implementation of practices.

Abstract
The Green Supply Chain Management (GSCM) is gaining more visibility in the last years due to global warming, population growth and reduction of non-renewable resources. Great efforts have been done to help companies move towards more sustainable practices, but from one company to another the same practices can lead to opposite performance. Taking cue from Contingency Theory, the aim of this research is to look for contextual conditions which could affect green practices implementation and environmental performance within different companies. Moreover will investigate how companies in the same contextual conditions could behave to reach greater sustainability through an ad hoc implementation of practices.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
