Mosaica. Un sistema d’illuminazione per l’esposizione dei gioielli nelle gioiellerie di alta gamma

This is a design proposal for a lighting system for the glass display cases of a high-end jewellery store. The paper is divided into three sections. The two main sections are the research, in which I have done an analysis of the jewellery sector ,in terms of particular characteristics, the materials used in jewellery making and specific lighting for jewellery. The other main section contains the concept part of this paper. The lighting idea and the product design. The third section, which is smaller and is inserted between the two main sections, regards OLED technology, a relatively new technology that slowly begins to enter the lighting market but is not yet widely treated by many designers. The luminaire created in this proposal is made for the retail jewellery sector, but can easily be inserted in other environments, for example museum exhibitions, and although it is made specifically designed to answer the requirements of jewellery display lighting, it can be used as a display lighting for other types of little objects.

Questo elaborato è una proposta progettuale per il settore di gioielleria di alta gamma. L’elaborato è diviso in tre sezioni. Le due principali sono la ricerca, in cui ho fatto un’analisi del settore e dei gioielli in termini di bisogni specifici, materiali e altre caratteristiche e la sezione del concept, che è la parte della progettazione del prodotto e del lighting. La terza sezione, che è più piccola ed è inserita tra le due sezioni principali, tratta della tecnologia OLED, una tecnologia nuova che inizia ad entrare nel commercio ma ancora trattata da pochi desginer e progettisti. Il prodotto creato per essereinserito nelle teche di una gioielleria, è creato per il retail ma potrebbe essere anche inserito in altri ambienti ad esempio l’ambiente museale, e anche se fatto particolarmente per l’esposizione dei gioielli può essere usato anche per l’esposizione di altri piccoli ogetti.
