Since nearly twenty years global sourcing has become very popular practice that is adopted by the firms. Increasing demand for better products and services results in intense competitive environment. As this competition increases, more firms are likely to purchase goods from overseas. Therefore companies need to keep up with this growing trend via their technology, lower cost products, higher quality and better customer services. This drives to relocate sourcing activities to global markets in developing countries where labor, material, manufacturing and operating costs are lower compared to developed markets. The main objective of this study was to perform a project in Turkey in order to discover potentials of home appliances industry in this market for Whirlpool Corporation. As being a low cost country and rapidly developing market, Turkey was selected to be the target market. To pursue this aim, home appliances manufacturers market in Turkey was investigated and suppliers were identified. After the preparation and the conduction of the event, fifteen of them were identified to be the potential partners of Whirlpool in the long run.
