This thesis concerns the development of an algorithm capable to extrapolate the Sun incidence angles, defined as azimuth and elevation, from a power telemetry file obtained during First Science Sequence performed by lander Philae in the ESA Rosetta mission. The objective is the definition of the direction of optimum power production, coupled with the attitude correction rotation needed to point the lander towards it.

Abstract
This thesis concerns the development of an algorithm capable to extrapolate the Sun incidence angles, defined as azimuth and elevation, from a power telemetry file obtained during First Science Sequence performed by lander Philae in the ESA Rosetta mission. The objective is the definition of the direction of optimum power production, coupled with the attitude correction rotation needed to point the lander towards it.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
