The aim of this research is to evaluate the depletion of natural resources,as raw materials, due to different solutions used to protect the soil of a hillside. The work is divided into three parts: 1. the first one introduces an overview of the erosion problem, followed by an explanation of the most used techniques; 2. the second one offers an overview of the LCA method and of the life cycle thinking approach, an explanation of exergy, and the CEENE indicator (Cumulative Exergy Extraction from the Natural Enviroment), an exergy-based indicator that evaluates the resources depletion; 3. the third one presents the case studies, the use of impact indicators and the results of the study, and its conclusions.

Abstract
The aim of this research is to evaluate the depletion of natural resources,as raw materials, due to different solutions used to protect the soil of a hillside. The work is divided into three parts: 1. the first one introduces an overview of the erosion problem, followed by an explanation of the most used techniques; 2. the second one offers an overview of the LCA method and of the life cycle thinking approach, an explanation of exergy, and the CEENE indicator (Cumulative Exergy Extraction from the Natural Enviroment), an exergy-based indicator that evaluates the resources depletion; 3. the third one presents the case studies, the use of impact indicators and the results of the study, and its conclusions.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
