The analysis of EMBOK framework for implementation of quality standards in sporting events, and its use in creation of an event industry in developing countries

The event industry is quickly and ever growing business. It is becoming a challenge for the professionals to cope with the scope of event industry as it is highly diversified. Thus there is a need for the standard set of task and procedures for the people involved in the industry to look into as guidance. The quality of the event also depends on the performance of each and every parties involved in the process. The number of activities involved in events is vast. Thus managing a successful event is both a huge challenge and opportunity for any organization. This work briefly describes the scopes of event management taking in the reference of managing the cycling road race (Tirreno-Adriatico) held in Italy. The work mainly focuses on the implementation phase of the event from a perspective of Logistics and operations. The processes involved in the planning and implementation phases are discussed with a prospect of keeping the logistics and operations department as the center for both providing both supplies and information. The newly developed framework of event management body of knowledge (EMBOK) is analyzed and presented as the tool for benchmarking the current procedures for smoothly and efficiently carrying out the tasks and procedures to improve the quality of the process. The EMBOK is also considered as the model to develop the event industries in developing countries.

L’evento industriale le molto veloce e sempre in crescita. Sta diventando una sfida per I professioniti per affrontare con lo scopo l’evento industriale come e altamente differente. Quindi ce’ bisogno di standard di una serie di compiti e procedure per la gente impegnata nel mondo imprenditoriale per come guida. La qualita dell evento depended al modo di fare con ogni parte impegnata nel processo. Il numero delle ativitta impegnata in questo evento e’ enorme. Quindi gestire un evento e una grande sfida e opportunità per qualsiasi organizazione. Questo lavoro discrive brevemente li scope del evento che si tiene in referensa pe gestire la pista ciclabile(Tirreno-Adriatico) che si e svolto in Italia. Il lavoro principalmente si basa sulla implementazione della phase dell evento da una perspectiva delle Logistiche e Operazioni. Il procedimento impegnato nel piano e nella implementazione sono discussi da una prospective e tenere la Logistiche e Operazioni come centro per fornire e informazioni. Il nuovo piano dell evento ( Event Management Body of Knowledge) e analizzato e presentato come un strumento di benchmarking il presente come procedure per la raffinata e efficentamente che procede dal lavoro e procedimento per migliorare la qualita del procedimento. Il EMBOK e’ considerato e come modello per sviluppare l’evento industriale nei piasi in via di svilupo.
