Soltanto il tempo è nostro. Quattro idee per un paese

The space narrows, both in physical terms and above all, in terms of spontaneous socialization: the fear of being "back", having to do everything as quickly as possible, work as a horror vacui that hastens to reduce more and more the time available to us, robbing us of the pauses necessary for the metabolism of events. Our country is a mine full of places that re-emerge from the past, places with a secret history, different from the official one in which society recognizes, places whose cultural identity is so strong to unleash his creative potential and imagination, providing all the tools you need to read back our needs and find ways to escape in contrast with this rampant amnesia. One of these places is Auletta, a village in the outback of Cilento, which is located between the mountains of Campanian and Lucan Appenines. Its historic center, perched on a rocky slope, it is quiet since 1980, when a violent earthquake has forced people to flee their homes, causing depopulation of what it's now called Parco a Ruderi. An urban park which preserves not only the stones, but also the memory, where at the behest of the administration, in recent years, has started a project for an accommodation widespread. Our project engages here, between the desire to restart and what it was: a reinterpretation of traditions, which mediates between the inhabitants of Auletta and tourists. Four intervals that support the hotel widespread, and that at the same time tell of a way of life that is forgetting.
Walking, a path that follows the narrow streets of the historic center iintervalled with rest areas corresponding to the inputs of the houses; temporize, the rediscovery of a square in the old town, now used as a parking; remember, bring throught the streets of the country the decorations that cover the walls of the abandoned houses; pass on, an archive evolving telling past, present and future stories.

Lo spazio si restringe, sia in termini fisici sia, soprattutto, in termini di socializzazione spontanea: la paura di rimanere "indietro", di dover fare tutto nel minor tempo possibile, opera come un horror vacui che ci affretta a ridurre sempre più il tempo a nostra disposizione, privandoci delle pause necessarie per la metabolizzazione degli eventi. Il nostro paese è una miniera ricca di luoghi che riaffiorano dal passato, luoghi con una storia segreta, diversa da quella ufficiale in cui la società si riconosce, luoghi la cui identità culturale è così forte da sprigionare ancora il suo potenziale creativo ed immaginario, fornendoci tutti gli strumenti necessari per rileggere le nostre necessità e trovare vie di fuga in contrasto con quest'amnesia collettiva dilagante. Uno di questi posti è Auletta, un paese dell’entroterra cilentano, incastonato tra i monti dell’ Appenino campano-lucano. Il suo centro storico, aggrappato a un pendìo roccioso, è silenzioso dal 1980, anno in cui un violento sisma ha costretto la popolazione ad abbandonare le proprie case, causando lo spopolamento di quello che oggi prende i nome di Parco a Ruderi. Un parco urbano che custodisce non solo le pietre, ma anche la memoria, dove per volere dell’amministrazione, negli ultimi anni, è stato avviato un progetto per una struttura ricettiva diffusa. Il nostro progetto si innesta qui, tra la voglia di ripartire e quello che è stato: una reinterpretazione delle tradizioni, che medi tra gli abitanti di Auletta e i turisti. Quattro intervalli che fanno da supporto all'albergo diffuso, e che al tempo stesso raccontano un modo di vivere che si sta dimenticando. Passeggiare, un percorso che segue i vicoli del centro storico intervallato da zone di sosta corrispondenti agli ingressi delle abitazioni; temporeggiare, la riscoperta di una piazza del centro storico, utilizzata ormai come parcheggio; ricordare, portare tra le strade del paese i decori che ricoprono le pareti delle case abbandonate; tramandare, un archivio in continua evoluzione che racconta storie passate, presenti e future.
