Abstract
Today technology is ubiquitous. In every moment of our day it follows our movements and our thoughts, making our life easier and leaving us stunned by its charm. Last but not least, also the working environment has changed due to the transformation given by technology. This fact has influenced and will continue to greatly affect, not only the archetype of the office, but also the way we work and interact with other people, who are part of your working network, both inside and outside the walls of the office . It is, therefore, no coincidence that more and more frequently we are talking about flexibility and a reality without certainties. The fixed workplace is losing its meaning, in favor of a nomadic way of working, that is more effective in terms of productivity and assisted by the potential of devices that are getting smaller and smaller. On the market nowadays it’s necessary, but not sufficient, to offer an ergonomic working environment to make you feel comfortable and at your ease, and stimulate interaction, trying to pursue increased productivity. It’s never been cleaner to everyone before, how important it is to be able to work as team within a company, to be competitive. So it is inevitable that the appearance of the office should be shaped on the new standards of flexibility in order to foster collaboration between individuals even from different departments. To become a great workplace, therefore, it is necessary to focus sull’employer engagement, in order to improve the quality of the relationship between the employee and the employer, their colleagues and the core values of the company. Based on these assumptions Ziro was born: a furnishing system for social areas of the office, able to meet the different business needs and offer different levels of privacy. It is designed to focus attention on the need to improve the quality of human relations on the workplace. The aim of this thesis is to show how it is possible that this could be done by proposing a series of furniture designed to stimulate a more direct communication and interaction between people. The project proposal has been designed for the traditional office, but considering the new identity of the workplace is normal to imagine it set in a lounge area of an airport or a train station, as well as in a hotel.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
