Human resources practices related to environmental sustainability

Environmental Management and Sustainability has been subject of thought and reflection in the field of management for a long time. Only recently, however, does the link between them and HR issues seem to have received attention. The role of the human resource management was chosen to be analyzed in the context of the environmental sustainability because of importance of its increasing awareness among organizations. For discovering, analyzing and presenting the main contributions of human resource management and practices in the field of environmental sustainability the team has come up with efficient methodology. The methodology includes two layers of literature reviews using AMO(Ability, motivation and opportunity) methodology, providing detailed picture of HR practices towards sustainability, integrates the HRM concepts with theoretical and empirical evidences found for the HRM practices towards sustainability, provides theoretical and empirical implications and proposes possible future research.
