Abstract
In the last few years governments are moving fast to make the best use of new technologies to enhance their role inside the community. And despite the skepticism we are used to prematurely acknowledge, things are going in the right direction, much more than in the past. Social networks are playing a crucial role in creating a more direct dialog between people and institutions giving visibility to innovative ways of doing networking and establishing new kind of relationships as well as a boost to the empowerment of citizens. Web platforms offers instant control on personal data, they help people to send their requests to the public administration and get concrete answers quickly. E-governments and “agendas 2.0” come along with the effort to make our cities “smarter” and increase the access to public information. The establishment of legislations and new policies for startups and young entrepreneurs (i.e.: the JOBSact in USA and the Decreto Crescita in Italy) open up new possibilities and opportunities to create innovation. There is a wind of change blowing straight from the bottom, directly from the crowd. People ask for more interaction within their environment, for an hands-on-experience. They want to play active roles in public decisions as well as in the design of new products and services. They are prosumers. They are makers. They are backers who will make future services come to life.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
