In the third industrial revolution around a "new" way of producing we see the emergence of a "new" professional figure: the technology craftsman. The thought that lies behind is "do it yourself", powered by the open source component, freedom of sharing, joint planning supported by the Network. The traditional additive technologies are taken under a new guise that shows project possibilities, production openings, creations without constraints. The work stems from the need to investigate the possibilities: the creation of objects through their stratification may or will may replace conventional production technologies? Some samples, obtained with 3D printing, were characterized. We have tried to depict the current situation and understand what productive horizons and design can be opened.

Abstract
In the third industrial revolution around a "new" way of producing we see the emergence of a "new" professional figure: the technology craftsman. The thought that lies behind is "do it yourself", powered by the open source component, freedom of sharing, joint planning supported by the Network. The traditional additive technologies are taken under a new guise that shows project possibilities, production openings, creations without constraints. The work stems from the need to investigate the possibilities: the creation of objects through their stratification may or will may replace conventional production technologies? Some samples, obtained with 3D printing, were characterized. We have tried to depict the current situation and understand what productive horizons and design can be opened.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
