I ♥ scritture brevi. Perché le forme brevi sono un valore per la comunicazione

With this thesis I wanted to take a reflection on the theme of short scriptures. The text messages typical of written conversation via mobile phone and most of the communication that takes place through the computer - now also using smartphones - have spread this kind of writing. Short sentences, sometimes very short, to communicate a message in a quickly and effectively way. However, some people argue that this type of communication is ungrammatical and poor of information, in other words, the 'death' of the Italian language. But is this the truth? Through examples and case studies found throughout the whole history of writing I will try to analyze strengths and weaknesses of short writings in order to determine whether they may or may not be a value for communication in today's society.

Con questa tesi si è voluta intraprendere una riflessione sul tema delle scritture brevi. I messaggini di testo tipici della conversazione scritta tramite cellulare e gran parte della comunicazione che avviene mediante il computer – oggigiorno anche mediante smartphone – hanno diffuso questo tipo di scrittura. Frasi corte, a volte cortissime, per comunicare un messaggio in modo rapido ed efficace. Tuttavia c’è chi sostiene che questo tipo di comunicazione sia sgrammaticato e povero di informazioni, in altre parole la ‘morte’ della lingua italiana. Ma è davvero così? Attraverso esempi e casi studio reperiti lungo l’intero arco di storia della scrittura si cercherà di analizzare pregi e difetti delle scritture brevi al fine di determinare se queste possano essere o meno un valore per la comunicazione nella società attuale.
