The current global crisis has forged an extreme high velocity environment, thus forcing entrepreneurial ventures to change their assets in order to achieve a new environmental fitness. My study focuses on young high-tech entrepreneurial ventures and how they tackle the current crisis by using Dynamic Capabilities. My aim is, first of all, to understand if the dynamic capability of expansion in international markets can improve a firm’s growth performance and, therefore, help these firms to overcome the global crisis; at a later stage, I calculate what are the antecedents of this dynamic capability. I develop hypothesis on the effect of the international dynamic capability on the growth performance and on the antecedents of this capabilities; I test these hypothesis on 257 Italian high-tech entrepreneurial ventures.

Abstract
The current global crisis has forged an extreme high velocity environment, thus forcing entrepreneurial ventures to change their assets in order to achieve a new environmental fitness. My study focuses on young high-tech entrepreneurial ventures and how they tackle the current crisis by using Dynamic Capabilities. My aim is, first of all, to understand if the dynamic capability of expansion in international markets can improve a firm’s growth performance and, therefore, help these firms to overcome the global crisis; at a later stage, I calculate what are the antecedents of this dynamic capability. I develop hypothesis on the effect of the international dynamic capability on the growth performance and on the antecedents of this capabilities; I test these hypothesis on 257 Italian high-tech entrepreneurial ventures.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
