In this thesis work a study to evaluate the high temperature behavior of structural steels has been conducted, evaluating the tensile strength at high temperature of some proof materials through a series of test. After an introduction where is explained the relevance of hot resistance of structural steels, fire resistance theory is explained. Following, a relevant amount of data regarding fire resistance of steels has been collected and the testing procedure has been explained. After data collection, data has been analyzed and new test experimental procedures has been proposed.
