The following dissertation analyzes the Publishing Industry Operations. As off the years 2000, the publishing sector faced a turning point driven by the progressive ongoing digitalization process. The deep analysis, which has been carried out on the actual configuration of production and distribution processes in the publishing sector, was aimed at the reconfiguration of the industrial system based on a technical, environmental and economic optimization. The most innovative contribution on the Italian publishing industry is represented by the creation of the first environmentally sustainable model which, by analyzing the actual CO2eq. emissions, simulates the realistic sceneries which would minimize the environmental impacts of the sector. The following study validates the initial hypothesis by which there would have been a minimal emission in a mixed model with two production technologies. Based on the results obtained by the model, the two production techniques have been integrated in a single “Hybrid Production System”.

Abstract
Based on the results obtained by the model, the two production techniques have been integrated in a single “Hybrid Production System”.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
