The thesis has as input the current overview on the significant return to the agricultural world and its revival. In particular it focuses on the Faculty of Agriculture of the University of Milan, on the trend of students over the last decade, on the addresses and courses to support, focusing on those dealing with agriculture as a source of energy. It's just on this issue that continues and focuses then the thesis, through the design of a research center agrifuels for the Faculty of Agriculture of Milan. The work has been carried out for several steps, starting with just the numerical verification overview of the new, appealing in particular to data provided by the Ministry of Education, continuing with investigations aimed at bringing out the characteristics of the user -teachers, researchers and students- the characteristics of activities - research, testing, teaching - and the spaces in which they will be carried out - workers, their support environments, but also those related to the service functions, such as dining, library and offices. You are looking for these features and summarized in a clear table has been possible to deal with the investigation dimensional, referring particularly to foreign law, as between the Italian does not appear any document created ad hoc, but it is possible to find some information from the general rules of health and safety at work and by the fire. After the phase of investigation have been taken care of as soon as the previous step in the planning stage: the location in the area. The decisive factor was the mapping of support housings that currently belong to the Faculty, as it was possible to compare the distance from the center pole and the type of connections, and then located in the municipality of Cassina de 'Pecchi area, the features that emerged in these early stages. It then came to the architectural project, consisting in the recovery of Cascina Bindellera, the existing buildings identify the host public functions (catering, library, offices) and the construction of a new underground building that host laboratories for testing and the agro energy research.

La tesi ha come input la panoramica attuale relativa al notevole ritorno al mondo agricolo e al suo rilancio. In particolare focalizza l’attenzione sulla Facoltà di Agraria dell’Università degli Studi di Milano, al trend di studenti iscritti nell’arco dell’ultimo decennio, agli indirizzi e ai corsi da sostenere, soffermandosi su quelli che trattano l’agricoltura come fonte di energia. E’ proprio su questa tematica che prosegue e si incentra poi la tesi, attraverso il progetto di un Centro di Ricerca Agroenergetica per la Facoltà di Agraria di Milano. Il lavoro è stato svolto per diversi step, a partire appunto dalla verifica numerica della nuova panoramica, appellandosi in particolare ai dati forniti dal MIUR, proseguendo con indagini mirate a far emergere le caratteristiche dell’utenza –docenti, ricercatori e studenti-, le caratteristiche delle attività svolte – ricerca, sperimentazione, insegnamento – e quelle degli spazi in cui esse verranno svolte – lavoratori, i relativi ambienti di supporto, ma anche tutti quelli legati alle funzioni di servizio, quali ristoro, biblioteca e uffici. Ricercate queste caratteristiche e sintetizzate in una chiara tabella è stato possibile occuparsi dell’indagine dimensionale, facendo riferimento in particolar modo alla normativa estera, in quanto tra quella italiana non compare nessun documento realizzato ad hoc, ma è possibile rintracciare qualche informazione generica dalla normativa di sicurezza e igiene sul lavoro e da quella antincendio. Terminata la fase di indagine ci si è occupati dello step appena precedente alla fase di progetto: la localizzazione sul territorio. Determinante è stata la mappatura delle sedi di supporto che attualmente appartengono o servono la Facoltà, in quanto si è potuta confrontare la distanza dal polo centrale e il tipo di connessioni presenti, per poi individuare nel comune di Cassina de’ Pecchi un’area rispondente a tutte le caratteristiche emerse in queste fasi preliminari. Si è poi arrivati al progetto architettonico, consistente nel recupero della Cascina Bindellera, presente sull’area individuata e ospitante le funzioni più pubbliche (ristoro, biblioteca, uffici) e nell’ampliamento della stessa con un nuovo volume ipogeo ospitante i laboratori per la sperimentazione e la ricerca agro energetica vera e propria.
