The progressive aging of the population determines a substantial increase in the incidence of certain diseases, including chronic diseases. They are not curable diseases and degenerative ones that, added to seniority and loneliness or social degradation, cause a growing complexity of the social and health needs. These diseases also have a significant impact on suffering patients’ Quality of Life. The present study has set as its objective the formulation of a tool for the evaluation of Quality of Life (QoL) for this type of patients, that, unlike the literature disease-specific instruments, could take into account all the aspects that determine complexity (numerosity and combined effect of co-morbidities, general aspects). The instrument has been developed and validated by a panel of experts and technicians and administered to 50 patients. From the first administration it shows good properties of adequacy, completeness and adherence to reality to be assessed, however it shows limitations in terms of complexity and time needed for its administration.

Abstract
From the first administration it shows good properties of adequacy, completeness and adherence to reality to be assessed, however it shows limitations in terms of complexity and time needed for its administration.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
