A research was done on the Dutch fashion identity, but since ‘Dutch fashion’ is a very young phenomenon also other design disciplines were taken into consideration. Cultural aspects were combined with sustainable innovation and a new fashion design concept was created. Inspired by the Dogme 95 cinema manifesto of Lars von Trier a new DogMo manifesto -especially for fashion design- was written, involving sustainability issues in an early stadium of design and creating a more Dutch way of dealing with fashion. Following this manifesto a zero-waste collection was made, based on 3 types of fabric.
