This thesis proposes a conceptual framework to evaluate acceptance of new technologies by customers, including the experiential aspect, based on an extensive analysis of key concepts and early studies in the technology acceptance field and in the consumer/user experience field. The conceptual framework includes the impact of emotional and social aspects on customers’ acceptance of new technologies that could lead usage of technology, but also includes results in holistic consumer´s experiences, relationship and lifestyle. Likewise, attempts to offer firms additional tools for testing new technologies before being launched on the market. The model involves some scales for future measurement and methodology suggestions. The expected results include emotional aspects as an additional determinant of attitude and thus of intentions; perceived usefulness and attitude as moderators of emotional aspects; social influences as determinants of intentions in voluntary contexts; and experiential aspects as an outcome beyond usage measurements to relationships and lifestyle. This work provides important implications for managers and designers because helps understanding that customers do not have only usefulness and ease of use needs but also experiential needs.

Abstract
This work provides important implications for managers and designers because helps understanding that customers do not have only usefulness and ease of use needs but also experiential needs.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
