It’s important, to the eyes of a company operating in the gas retailing sector in such an extended municipality as Milan is, to succeed in overseeing a great deal of activities and, consequently, that company needs to start to work to a management maximization in the organization of such activities, which allows to improve the service the company gives to its customers (without undermining its security), an operational efficiency through the logistical maximization and a higher operating speed and achievement of the actions ongoing. This dissertation, based on my personal internship experience, describes the various phases of a project aiming at increasing the management effectiveness and efficiency as far as the gas supply facilities are concerned, by introducing Information & Communication Technology (ICT) systems, such as schedulers, Personal Digital Assistants (PDA) and/or tablet, those playing a major role in the reengineering of the factory process overseeing the Work Force Management (WFM) system.
Per un’azienda operante nel mondo della distribuzione gas, attiva in un comune vasto come Milano, è importante riuscire a gestire una grande quantità di lavori e, di conseguenza, è necessario attivarsi per un’ottimizzazione gestionale nell’organizzazione degli stessi, che permetta di conseguire il miglioramento del servizio reso al cliente (senza intaccarne negativamente la sicurezza), l’efficientamento operativo a mezzo dell’ottimizzazione logistica e una maggior rapidità nell’esecuzione degli interventi in campo e della loro consuntivazione. La presente tesi, basata sulla personale esperienza di tirocinio aziendale, descrive le diverse fasi di un progetto di incremento dell’efficacia e dell’efficienza gestionale nelle strutture di distribuzione del gas, attraverso l’introduzione in campo di sistemi di Information & Communication Technology (ICT), quali schedulatori, Personal Digital Assistant (PDA) e/o tablet, che sono gli agenti fondamentali nella reingegnerizzazione del processo aziendale che gestisce il sistema di Work Force Management (WFM).
