Agorà. Un'infrastruttura per l'interazione di agenti software

In the last decade, e-commerce has become one of the most attractive phenomena in the field of information technology. E-commerce represents an important meeting point between the economic and information technology: the purpose of this thesis is the proposition of solutions with the introduction of new technologies, with particular attention to the state-of-the-art proposals, among which those based on software agents. This thesis proposes an architecture for agents for electronic commerce: the choice to present a study of this type of system is dictated by the interest that electronic commerce introduces. In particular, it has been conceived and designed a framework for the interaction between software agents: Agorà. The models that have inspired the design of Agorà are those related to multiagent systems: given the global complexities derived from a system of this type, the proposed application has been implemented as simple as possible: it should be noted that this choice is also motivated by the fact that the main aspect of this project is the interaction between agents.

Nell’ultimo decennio il commercio elettronico è diventato uno dei fenomeni di maggiore attrazione nel settore delle tecnologie informatiche. Il commercio elettronico rappresenta infatti un importante punto di incontro tra l’economica aziendale e l’informatica: lo scopo è quello di cercare soluzioni con l’introduzione di nuove tecnologie, rivolgendo particolare attenzione alle proposte piú all’avanguardia, tra le quali spiccano quelle basate sugli agenti software. Questo lavoro di tesi propone un’architettura ad agenti per il commercio elettronico: la scelta di presentare uno studio su questo tipo di sistema è dettata dall’interesse nelle importanti novità che il commercio elettronico introduce. In particolare, è stata ideata e progettata un’infrastruttura per l’interazione tra agenti software: Agorà. I modelli che hanno ispirato la progettazione di Agorà sono quelli relativi ai sistemi multiagente: viste le complessità globali che derivano da un sistema di questo tipo, si è cercato di presentare un’applicazione piú semplice possibile: si precisa che tale scelta è motivata anche dal fatto che si è voluto focalizzarsi sull’aspetto principale di questo progetto che è l’interazione fra agenti.
