Nowadays the stroke is one of the major causes of disability. After this disease, limb functions are highly compromised or completely lost. Specifically, the upper limbs, through their structure, allow us to perform daily activities. The project started from the need of a tool able to help these people to recover the functions lost in a familiar home environment by integrating technologies that are commonly defined “haptic”, which are part of the family of virtual reality technologies. In recent years, in fact, the healthcare sector has expanded its own borders to technology and design, allowing the most careful study and design into a more human scale. Specifically, the purpose of the introduction of these technologies is to lighten the burden of rehabilitation and its economic and human costs. The synergy between the different sectors, including the rehabilitation sector and virtual reality technologies, has led to the development of "robotic" interfaces that become a support for the movements of man. The thesis is then developed, starting from the observation and the analysis of the problems of patients affected by stroke, to the conception and the development of design solutions targeted, in order to improve the system as a whole.

Abstract
The thesis is then developed, starting from the observation and the analysis of the problems of patients affected by stroke, to the conception and the development of design solutions targeted, in order to improve the system as a whole.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
