Abstract
Quality control and production logistics have been studied independently. This link is not well recognized in the literature. Integrating these areas allows the opportunity to investigate both simultaneously within an Economical Design. In this thesis, Opportunistic Control Charts were proposed to evaluate performance measures of a two machines and one buffer line. The proposed model considered that the first machine was locally monitored, the buffer had limit capacity and the second machine produced only conformed products. Three quality approaches were evaluated to define the best among them, in terms on maximum effective throughput in a single scenario. Then they were applied to 40 different scenarios varying eleven parameter of the system model, to see the impact on the effective throughput and buffer level. Based on the proposed model, Markov Chains, quality link equations, performance measures and cost-revenue model were calculated to obtain the best quality policy with less resource. Seven Experiments were simulated to get the numerical results. At the end, conclusions and some ideas for future research are presented.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
