This Master Thesis has a dual scope: present the phenomenon of crowdfunding; study how certain characteristics of a project, which is launched on a crowdfunding reward-based web platform, may affect the probability that it will be found. These features include: the relevance of project’s texts form the ethical view of the environment, the economics and the labor, and from the emotional view such as the entrepreneurial passion (which include affective passion, preparedness, commitment), the charisma and the cognitive legitimacy; some pro¬ject’s informative variables shown to backers. It has been made a content analysis on 1361 projects’ texts which were been launched on Kickstarter, an U.S web platform, between October 2012 and March 2013 and belong to Design, Technology and Videogames categories. Purposes of this analysis are to calculate, for each text, the relevance of the ethical and the emotional constructs mentioned before in order to empirically evaluate if their correlation with the probability of success of the project confirm what we expect from the scientific literature, and to valuate if these results would be different among project’s categories. Analyzes show that it can be assumed a positive correlation between the probability of projects to be found and: the length of project’s texts (as number of characters); the number of images and links; the presence of updates; certain ethical and emotional constructs of projects’ texts that belong to Design and Videogames’ categories. In particular, for these two types of projects such constructs are cha-risma and those who belongs to entrepreneurial passion, except commitment’s construct for Design’s category. For Design projects are also valid all the three ethical constructs, whereas for Videogames projects is valid also the cognitive legitimacy’s construct.

Abstract
For Design projects are also valid all the three ethical constructs, whereas for Videogames projects is valid also the cognitive legitimacy’s construct.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
