Social housing community centre. Lisbon, Portugal : the importance of city's space for the wellbeing of the community

The theoretical part consists on a group of topics put together to understand the problem in question, support the project decisions and be able to develop a solution for the area according to the needs and context, both physical and social. The subjects addressed are based on a meticulous study of every already advance in that area, including not only architectural examples but also an anthropological and psychologist view of that same issue. Since we are talking about Social Housing, the social and Human sphere can not be approached without more fields of study. The speech starts with a theoretical and conceptual approach towards a more specific interpellation of case studies. Starting with abstract concepts, and then enlightening examples of success or failure in the application of those concepts. Extracts from well-known authors texts are used, in situations in which other words are inferiorly qualified to describe the issue.
