This thesis work represents a contribution to the topics of Smart Adaptive Facades and it deals with the study and development of a new methodology for preliminary combined energetic and lighting analyses for office buildings performed by optimizing the solar shading devices’ shape and number in order to ensure high standards of visual comfort and low primary energy demand. The methodology has been further tested and applied in the development of an innovative prototype of smart shading device which uses Shape Memory Alloys as actuators.

Abstract
This thesis work represents a contribution to the topics of Smart Adaptive Facades and it deals with the study and development of a new methodology for preliminary combined energetic and lighting analyses for office buildings performed by optimizing the solar shading devices’ shape and number in order to ensure high standards of visual comfort and low primary energy demand. The methodology has been further tested and applied in the development of an innovative prototype of smart shading device which uses Shape Memory Alloys as actuators.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
