The present research aims to study environmental sustainability of eCommerce logistics processes and to develop a model to quantify the environmental impact of logistic processes related to the eCommerce channel in the fashion industry. Firstly, an overview of the B2c eCommerce scenario in Italy was conducted, mainly to assess the diffusion of eCommerce in our country in the different sectors, and compare them with the major western markets. Afterwards the scientific literature was examined to understand the state-of-the-art regarding eCommerce and environmental sustainability, highlighting research gaps and identify themes for further investigation. Metrics and calculators of environmental impact have been then examined, as well as green initiatives implemented by companies. Afterwards, the model was developed and tested.
