Enrico Tedeschi : 1910-1978. Dall'Italia all'Argentina

This work focuses on the activities of the architect Enrico Tedeschi, figure largely unknown to the Italian historiography. Born in Rome in 1910, the city where he graduated in 1934 at the Regia Scuola Superiore di Architettura, he began his professional career during the Fascist period, participating in important competitions. An intensive research has allowed the reconstruction of his education and the first experiences, investigating for the first time all the extremely significant events, always contextualized in their cultural context. In Italy, the lack of interest in his work is mainly due to the moving to Argentina, that was in February 1948; therefore, his life was divided between Europe and South America.

Questo lavoro verte sull’attività dell’architetto Enrico Tedeschi, figura per lo più sconosciuta alla storiografia italiana. Nato a Roma nel 1910, città in cui si laurea nel 1934 presso la Regia Scuola Superiore di Architettura, inizia la sua attività professionale durante il ventennio fascista, partecipando ad importanti competizioni. Un intenso lavoro di ricerca ha permesso la ricostruzione della sua formazione e delle prime esperienze progettuali, indagando per la prima volta su avvenimenti estremamente significativi, contestualizzandoli sempre nel loro contesto culturale. In Italia, la mancanza di interesse per il suo lavoro è dovuta principalmente al trasferimento in Argentina, avvenuto nel febbraio del 1948; dunque una vita divisa fra Europa e Sudamerica.
