A vision to future settlements considering social media impacts

A glance to the past reveals the significant changes in lifestyle in recent decades. Connections to the past and the future will affect the present world in which we live. Therefore changes in physical environment plays a crucial role in forming and supporting this new lifestyle. The motivation for this thesis is an attempt to bridge the gap between changes in lifestyle in the future and the place of living of the next generations-Future houses-. The architecture of the human place of living should be affected by these changes to get along with them and support them as well. The fast growth of technology and the widespread effects of computer and internet on our lives in recent years have generated new ways of communication. By the use of electronic media the distances are being shortened and the physical limitations are being less. Therefore it is possible to be located physically in one place while in the meantime perceiving aspects of other places and it results in places being deeply changed due to their distanced social relations with other places. So this is how the virtual activities taking place and the life on screen being generated. Moreover since three decades ago the spread of social media was the commencement of a new way of communication. Social networking sites let people interact freely, sharing and discussing information about each other and their lives, using a multimedia mix of personal words, pictures, videos and audio. Since these new virtual social networking is being more and more popular in the future, the state of mind is being changed. And as the mind the home have often been considered the most private of all spaces a changes in one may cause changes in the another. In our thesis we will try to argue about this changes and how they can affect the physical environment. As Confucius said, “Study the past if you would define the future”, to clarify how the social network affect the physical features of the future cities we investigated Mongolian nomads where social network entirely formed their living spaces. Due to the so many similarities between these two kinds of interactions between people, it could be concluded that physical characteristic of Mongolian lifestyle can be applied in the future where the social networking is conquered. In the finale step we tried to apply the consequences of the research on a housing project in Christchurch-New Zealand, a city where is totally being rehabilitated after the earthquake of 2010-2011.

Uno sguardo al passato rivela i cambiamenti significativi nello stile di vita negli ultimi decenni . Collegamenti con il passato e il futuro influenzeranno il mondo attuale in cui viviamo . Pertanto cambiamenti nell'ambiente fisico gioca un ruolo cruciale nel formare e sostenere questo nuovo stile di vita . La motivazione di questa tesi è un tentativo di colmare il divario tra i cambiamenti nello stile di vita in futuro e il luogo di vita delle prossime generazioni future- case - . L'architettura del luogo umano di vivere deve essere influenzata da questi cambiamenti per andare d'accordo con loro e sostenere pure. La rapida crescita della tecnologia e degli effetti diffusi di computer e di internet sulla nostra vita in questi ultimi anni hanno generato nuove forme di comunicazione . Con l' uso dei mezzi elettronici distanze vengono accorciati e le limitazioni fisiche siano meno . Pertanto è possibile essere fisicamente collocato in un posto mentre nel frattempo percepire aspetti di altri luoghi e risulta in luoghi essendo profondamente modificate a causa della loro distanziata  relazioni sociali con gli altri luoghi. Quindi questo è come essere generate le attività virtuali che si svolgono e la vita sullo schermo . Inoltre dal momento che tre decenni fa, la diffusione dei social media è stato l'inizio di un nuovo modo di comunicazione . Siti di social networking permettere alle persone di interagire liberamente , condividere e discutere informazioni su ogni altro e la loro vita , utilizzando un mix multimediale di parole personali, immagini, video e audio. Dal momento che questi nuovi social networking virtuale è essere sempre più popolare in futuro , lo stato d'animo sta cambiando . E come la mente della casa è stato spesso considerato il più privato di tutti gli spazi a modifiche in uno possono causare cambiamenti nel altro . Nella nostra tesi cercheremo di discutere di queste modifiche e come possono influenzare l' ambiente fisico . Come diceva Confucio: " Studia il passato se si volesse definire il futuro" , per chiarire come il social network influenzano le caratteristiche fisiche dei futuri città abbiamo studiato nomadi della Mongolia , dove social network interamente formata loro spazi di vita . A causa delle tante somiglianze tra questi due tipi di interazioni tra le persone , si potrebbe concludere che la caratteristica fisica dello stile di vita mongolo può essere applicato in futuro, in cui il social networking è conquistato .   Nella fase finale abbiamo cercato di applicare le conseguenze della ricerca su un progetto residenziale a Christchurch , in Nuova Zelanda , una città in cui è totalmente in fase riabilitato dopo il terremoto del 2010-2011 .
