The main goal of this Thesis is the implementation of numeric methodology designd to predict the mechanical behavior of a component subjected to fatigue at low number of cycles (Low Cycle Fatigue). In particular, the final product of this work is a series of computer codes in Fortran, wich easly lend themselves to being performed by a finite element software such Abaqus. In the first step the results carried out from previously analysis have been used, to derive the constants of the proposed mathematical model. The algorthm has been developed at the beginning within a single element model, thus allowing to calculate the number of cycles to propagation. To analyze the propagation in a wider area of the component, the calculation has been extended to more elements , to obtain a complete calculation methodology for deriving the fatigue life of a component. Finally, these codes have been applied to a real case: a turbine disc used in gas turbines for the production of energy.

Abstract
Finally, these codes have been applied to a real case: a turbine disc used in gas turbines for the production of energy.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
