Project control system in an E.P.C. company. The various phases of planning and project control in a plant project

Today's corporate organizations have developed a completely new way of doing business that has overturned the rigid, hierarchical and divided system of labour in years past. This new model hinges on projects: distinct activities grouped together with the aim of attaining a specified goal – whether it's a new software package, a marketing strategy or a new brand of chair. Although project management is often overlooked in the creative process—it’s the driving force behind any venture. Effective project management can push a project to the fullest of its potential, creating work that surpasses the wildest of expectations. On the other hand, poor project management can stall productivity, stifle creativity, or kill a project entirely. Therefore, the efficiency of the project management is crucial to the success of the project. Studying the auxiliary project management tools and applying these tools to the real projects are mandatory for perusing a high efficiency of work and preventing the waste of limited resources, this has been the objective of this work. The thesis is organized as the following: Chapter 1 is the introduction of the Project and Project Management; Chapter 2 gives a detailed framework techniques in Project Management; Chapter 3 and 4 introduce the project planning and its techniques; Chapter 5 and 6 discuss about the project control and project progress in phase of control; At last three applicative study cases are the practice use of tools and models introduced aforementioned.

Le organizzazioni aziendali di oggi hanno sviluppato in un modo completamente nuovo di fare business che ha ribaltato il sistema rigido, gerarchico e diviso del lavoro negli anni passati. Questo nuovo modello influisce i progetti: attività distinte raggruppate con lo scopo di raggiungere un obiettivo specifico - che si tratti di un nuovo pacchetto software, di una strategia di marketing o di una nuova marca di sedia. Sebbene la gestione del progetto sia spesso trascurata nel processo creativo, essa è la forza motrice dietro ogni impresa. Un'efficace gestione del progetto può spingere un progetto al massimo del suo potenziale creando un'opera che supera le sue aspettative. D'altra parte, la male gestione del progetto può creare lo stallo della produttività, soffocare la creatività, o uccidere un progetto interamente. Pertanto, l'efficienza della gestione del progetto è molto importante per il successo del progetto. Studiare gli strumenti ausiliari della gestione del progetto e applicare questi strumenti per i progetti reali sono essenziali per avere una elevata efficienza del lavoro e per evitare lo spreco delle risorse limitate, questo è proprio l’obiettivo di questa tesi. La tesi è organizzata come segue: Capitolo 1 è l'introduzione del Progetto e della Project Management; Capitolo 2 fornisce un framework in dettaglio delle tecniche di Project Management; Capitolo 3 e 4 introducono la pianificazione del progetto e le sue tecniche; Capitolo 5 e 6 discutono il controllo del progetto e l’avanzamento del progetto in fase di controllo; gli ultimi tre casi di studio applicativi sono dell'uso pratica di strumenti e modelli introdotti di cui sopra.
