The work aims to identify the mechanical characteristics of the seat of a high performance GT car, in order to obtain the parameters required as input to the crash test simulations. The components of the test structure have been designed and constructed. In the first part of the work, the study of the characteristics of the cushion and the backrest has been undetaken, through force and displacement measurements on both cushion and backrest by correctly reproducing the contact between dummy and seat. In the second part of the work, a breaking test of the seat has been completed, similar to what happens during an actual impact, with the final goal of the measurement of the moment generated by the backrest as function of its angular rotation. The data were acquired and analyzed in order to be used in a multibody model of the system.

Abstract
The data were acquired and analyzed in order to be used in a multibody model of the system.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
