This thesis is set within the context of electrophysiological signals analysis from cultured neuronal networks, using Micro-electrode array (MEAs) technology. It presents the implementation and validation of a software platform and a MATLAB based on GUI, including several algorithms for spike sorting and the evaluation of their performances trough the use of suitable artificial and real data sets. It is also reported an estimation of the feasibility of the online functioning of the chosen methods, in order to interface the validated software with the acquisition device and to decrease both the analysis time and the amount of data to store.

Abstract
This thesis is set within the context of electrophysiological signals analysis from cultured neuronal networks, using Micro-electrode array (MEAs) technology. It presents the implementation and validation of a software platform and a MATLAB based on GUI, including several algorithms for spike sorting and the evaluation of their performances trough the use of suitable artificial and real data sets. It is also reported an estimation of the feasibility of the online functioning of the chosen methods, in order to interface the validated software with the acquisition device and to decrease both the analysis time and the amount of data to store.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
