This thesis is about intertextuality and photography, photographic models and photojournalism. Here are expressed theories among the study on intertextuality made by Gérard Genette, here adopted in the range of photojournalism, with the aim to identify a batch of "visual types" that leads to create photographic models – or archetypes – applied to photography of information. Seen the topic depth, here are just treated photographies related to crime news, natural disasters, serious accidents or attacks. The used methodology applies to the presentation of a series of case studies belonging to different technological moments, related to different facts – from 11 September to the italian crime news – and presented on different media, in order to go deeper analyzing the case of Costa Concordia shipwreck. The achieved results from the research, managed in particularity to italian media, show the use of photographic models also from amatorials photographers; they take the reality in a more approximative way, sometimes imitating the intertextual practicals and using known archetypes. The professional photographers practice the visual archetypes producing a deep and complete facts story telling; these facts, in consequence of the repetition of type-pictures, become a metaphor of specific period or of socio-historical conditions. In conclusion, here is presented, in a critical way, a reconnaissance about the italian photography of information, but not only, of last sixty years, that should help to understand better some phenomenons that lend to the metaphorization and that in such way, involve the spectator every time a fact becomes news.

Abstract
In conclusion, here is presented, in a critical way, a reconnaissance about the italian photography of information, but not only, of last sixty years, that should help to understand better some phenomenons that lend to the metaphorization and that in such way, involve the spectator every time a fact becomes news.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
