Pocket chef. Service which aim to help the food-allergic travelers taste local food safely

This project is proposing “Pocket Chef”, which is a service system aiming to help foreign tourists with food allergy problem in Bangkok enable to enjoy local cuisine without having to worry about adverse food reaction. A thorough in-field research, restaurant survey, tourists survey and interview with the expert in field, was conducted to find challenging de facto situations where the local restaurants lack food allergy awareness and patterns of solutions in demand from both tourists and restaurants’ sides. Therefore a set of solutions provided by the system through mobile phone application - set menu recommendations, allergens filter, dish adjustment, restaurant guide and direction, and communication help - are designed from research outcome and anticipating pragmatic used.
