Chiocciola. Cultural sustainability through material traces

This project is an attempt to take a diverse approach towards durability. Based on the concept of Cultural Sustainability, it tries to use Material Traces as a storytelling instrument to create an emotional bond between the user and the products. Chiocciola is an object that engraves memories, Qr codes linked to photos taken while using a product, on its surface. The permanent engravings, inspected through a smart phone, will be the reminiscence of the stories of use and ownership associated with the product.

Questo progetto mira a prendere un nuovo aproccio verso la durabilita’ nei prodotti industriali. Iniziando dal concetto di “Sostenibilita’ Culturale”, cerca di usufruire le tracce sui materiali e sulle superfici come istrumenti di Storytelling, creando un rapporto emozionale tra l’utente e il prodotto. Chiocciola incide i ricordi sugli prodottinella forma di codici Qr collegati alle foto prese usando il prodotto. L’incisione permanente, scannerizzato con uno smart phone, rivela le storie dell’uso del progetto.
