Energy efficiency management in Lufthansa Technik : company best practices and achievements

With the support of the literature, my theoretical background gained during my studies and the practical experience gained in Lufthansa, I was able to define one simple and comprehensive approach for developing this project. Starting from the analysis of literature and industrial guidelines EE best practices for EE management, in this thesis project I report my study of EE management in Lufthansa Technik, in particular I describe how EE management is performed and organized in LT and what have been the company programs and achievement in that field for the past three years. In this work I compare LT practices to the EE management best practices from literature and give details on how energy efficiency barriers are dealt with in LT as well. By demonstrating the current situation of LHT and compare it with the industry’s best practice I will try to validate the achieved results and check if they are relevant for other industries beside the MRO one.
